2 States by Chetan Bhagat

2 STATES (13.8.2013)
The story of my marriage
-chetan bhagat
Another best seller from the Indian author. . He has tried to capture the practical realities in cross border love even within the same country. Though we simply boast unity in diversity bla bla the only thing uniting might be just the name of the country & the useless political parties. Otherwise the invisible barrier always exists much more stronger than one would expect.
India is probably one proud place where there's so many things to divide people to most preliminary level. . starting from state religion color race to castes and sub caste & infinite other sub sub classes.
That division system which was done so much earlier based on the occupation of the ppl to improve overall personality has now become the monster & everyone happily allows themselves to be happily engulfed by it.They are not willing for a change nor are they looking forward to any change to take place in the future.
Only something more powerful yet understanding & sacrificing like love can break through all these unwanted boundaries. only two ppl madly influenced by hormones can look beyond this & can believe in unity.
Dats y everyone aspiring to bring this nation up is counting on youngsters with ignited minds..!
Chetan has done a good work in portraying all this in his book with the story pertaining to his own personal life thereby making it much more believable. Had his iit girlfriend stayed with him, this might not have happened at all, which brings us back again to that mysterious entity namely destiny.
I could correlate well with the tamil language (actually I should say mistakes) and had a good laugh with the humor in day to day lives which we fail to recognize & could be seen only through the eyes of an outsider (drastically different from outcast).
well there were lotsa racist comments splashed along with humor everywhere which I assume was to make it sound more practical and not to offend people. But we the proud horses can be offended very easily and may not take things lightly. While we consider the northies as dominant (which our culture doesn't permit) ,they think us docile & moody (unacceptable to them)
The differences always exist but wat matters most is finding a way to accept them for what they are while managing to stay together as one..
For a willing mind there is always a way. .!
